The starting year for this prophecy is 588 BC, January 15 and the year in which it was fulfilled is 588 BC, January 15. God issued this prophecy through Prophet Ezekiel and bible reference for this prophecy is Ezekiel 24. Read on and be very blessed...

Prophetic revelation of the final siege of Jerusalem

Praise God.

An amazing prophecy is recorded in Ezekiel Chapter 24.

Refer Ezekiel 24:1. This verse says that the prophecy was received on the 10th day of the 10th month of ancient Hebrew lunar calender, which corresponds with Jan 15. Also, the 9th year of Jehiachin's captivity corresponds with year 588 BC. So the date on which prophecy is received is 15 January 588 BC.

Now coming to prophecy, God talks to Ezekiel on Jan 15 of 588 BC. Ezekiel was in Babylon at that time, as he himslef was one of the exiled during the captivity of Judah. God says that on this very day, the King of Babylon is beginning to attack Jerusalem. Jerusalem lies 2700 kilometers away from Babylon.

But history records that, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon started the siege of Jerusalem on the January 15 of 588 BC, which is exactly as God had spoken to Ezekiel in Ezekiel 24. How do we know this from the bible? Refer Jeremiah 39:1 and Jeremiah 52:4. The 9th year of Zedekiah's reign corresponds to 9th year of Jehoiachin's captivity.

So here we see how God give a prophet eyes to see what is happening 2700 kilometers away like a live telecast. This is why prophets often see and even hear sounds of upcoming events like it is mentioned in Jeremiah's texts.

May God be praised for this prophecy that was fulfilled on the same day that it was issued. Amen.
