Meditation: God heals our faithlessness

God heals our faithlessness

Bible Reference: Romans 1:17

Praise God.

Many times when we confront the mountains of our life, we believe in the Lord and know that our God is sufficient to meet all our needs. Once our Lord Jesus said, "... Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

A mustard seed is among the smallest of seeds. Jesus has set the standard very low so that all those who believe in him may attain miracles. But what stands in the way? Some main factors shake our little faith. One is the magnitude of problem and the circumstances. With our worldly eyes, they may have only a destructive outcome. For example, a cyclone is coming and we have loved ones in the path of that storm. We all know what the storm does and how it leaves behind a wake of destruction and despair. So all our focus is on escaping, getting to worldly measures of safety, and making plan B ready. Same is the case of most difficulties such as illnesses, financial troubles etc. Second matter which shakes our faith is the stories of how others suffered or succumbed to such issues, and fear of meeting the same fate. Remember Peter walked on water, but when he remembered that others who tried this sank, he too began to sink until Christ extended his hand.

But God is not like this. He is a master planner. All his plans work. He does not need a Plan B to help us. He makes us to stand our ground in face of the storms of our life, look at our problems without fear, and have faith to believe and receive the deliverance we need. God understands our weaknesses. He knows our every concern. He understands our drawbacks.

That is why in Hosea 14:4, God has made a provision for those whose faith is wounded because of the circumstances. Hosea 14:4 says, "The Lord says, Then I will heal you of your faithlessness; my live will know no bounds, for my anger will be gone for ever.'" So when our battery of faith is leaking, we must prayer for a healing for our faithlessness and get power from God to move mountains." The just shall live by faith (Roman's 1:17).

May God bless you all.
